Taco Tuesdays
Tired of eating the same lame college food day after day? Then why don't you try the taco bars in Marycrest and KU on Tuesdays? Commonly known to UD students as "Taco Tuesdays," the taco bars offer much more than tacos. You can get hard or soft shell tacos, nachos, or taco salads. Students can choose whatever they want to add to their food, such as lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. If you want that extra kick, ask for some jalapeƱos and salsa. Taco Tuesdays provide students with a delicious and tasty break from the ordinary college cuisine. Taco Tuesdays are sure to fill your Mexican fix!
KU's Pita Pizza
Everyone knows that college students love their pizza. It is the meal of choice, whether it be for breakfast or at 3:00 in the morning. Domino's and Cousin Vinnie's are the most popular pizza delivery places, but the pizza on campus is highly underestimated. At KU's pizza counter they make a wonderful creation called the Pita Pizza. The pizza is a personal sized pita that you can load with any toppings you want. The crust is nice and crunchy, and big enough to fill you up. My favorite toppings are cheese and pepperoni, but i have seen people get buffalo chicken, sausage, peppers, and anything else you can imagine! So, next time your feeling like a pizza try KU's Pita Pizza. I know you'll love it!

The computer situation at the University of Dayton is something that pretty much every student wishes would change, putting it nicely. The only people satisfied with their computers or have ones that don't break are the art and engineer majors. They are given the luxury of a decent computer with either a MacBook or Dell. Instead of the crappy Tangent computers which seem like they are made up of old computer parts from the early ninties. However, they seem to still cost as much as the new Mac Book Air. I don't know of any other school making their students buy incompetant computers for large amounts of money. I believe that there could be some conspiracy in which someone is making alot of money by charging us helpless college students an outlandish amount of money for a computer worth about the same as a Tonka Truck.
Billy Colbert and Michael Platt
Billy Colbert and Michael Platt are two visiting artist's from Washington D.C. I attended a workshop on printing and on art in the style they use to create their works. Their gallery is up in the Rike center and is titled, "North of U Street". I did not know what to expect, since I have no experience in printing. I left the workshop having learned and witnessed a new media of art. I like the work of these two artists alot after seeing it first hand I have a new appreciation for what they do. Its an interesting form of art and their work will be on display in the Rike Gallery until January 31.
Is it ethical to fire an RA?
After a semester of hard work and sacrificing time for the members of his floor, an RA (We'll keep him anonymous) was relieved of his duties. Though my opinion cannot change the matter, I am against this decision. Sure, maybe it seemed as if he was not doing a good enough job maintaining peace on his floor, or maybe he didn't write enough people up during the first semester, but i feel as though releasing him was a mistake. I think it should be known that this RA had a challenge in being assigned to a floor that I feel is likely the craziest floor on campus. The RA, despite not appearing to be too active, was still able to have an influence over the floor because of his presence. So now, arguably the craziest floor on campus has no RA presence and is now unsupervised. So do the pro's of firing the RA outweigh the cons?
