Indirect Pathways

Ok so have any of you guys ever walked through KU field during a sub zero chill? I'm sure you have. Well I don't know about the rest of you, but the pathway through KU field and among others are very indirect. I mean have you noticed how the path winds in an uneccessary fashion making your walk a little longer than it needs to be in the cold. Of course walking straight through the grass to the other side of KU field isn't an option, because everyone else is on the path. So if you aren't on the path people are like "hey check out the guy walking through the grass" and I definately do not want to be grass guy.
