Standers 2008

So I know this post is a tad overdure but just hang in there with me people. I think the Standers was not as impressive as everyone built it up to be. Jason and I went to visit the poster area in one of the upper floors of KU. Some of them to say the least were not very impressive. I felt that our class did alot more research and complex writing than some of these presenters. I saw posters that featured Lance Armstrong, Michael Jordan, 1985 Chicago Bears, and the 1972 Miami Dolphins. While those are super interesting to me, I struggled to find the academics in it. I even took the extra time to listen to all of these students present the topics and I was not stunned by any grueling research. My take on Standers was two thumbs down...way down.
